Maryland’s Lakeside Title sets monthly records for helping customers in June
COLUMBIA, Md. – July 21, 2021 – Lakeside Title Company, a leading provider of real estate title and closing services, helped a record number of people celebrate National Homeownership Month in June across Maryland.
The company, which is headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, closed more than 850 residential and commercial closings in June throughout its 18 offices, including over 100 closings on June 30 alone. Both figures set all-time records for the 24-year-old company, according to Yvonne Y. Deardorff, the company’s president and CEO.
“I’m so proud of the work my team has done, not only this summer, but all year long,” she said. “It has been a very busy time for us all, but we never lose sight of how important the process is for all our customers, especially those who are buying a new home.”
One of those closings included Victoria Brawner, a first-time homebuyer and Lakeside Title employee. As a settlement officer for 20 years, Brawner has seen many homeownership dreams come true and was happy that she and her husband got to experience that same feeling with the help of her colleagues. Brawner currently works in Lakeside Title’s King George County (Virginia) office.
“We love working with all our customers, of course, but being able to see Vickee sit in the buyers’ spot at the closing table was extra special for the entire Lakeside Title family,” Deardorff said. “It was the perfect way to help cap off such a great month where we helped so many people move into their new homes.”
Lakeside Title is a proud member of the American Land Title Association (ALTA) and several other industry groups, including the Maryland Land Title Association, the DC Land Title Association, the Virginia Land Title Association and the Pennsylvania Land Title Association. It’s a company that has always valued technology and was one of the first title companies in the state of Maryland to go paperless earlier in its history.
Fast forward to 2021, and Deardorff and her team have made the needed investments to be able to facilitate digital closings using Remote Online Notarization (RON) when applicable.
Established in 1997, Lakeside Title Company now has a total of 18 offices – 16 of which are in Maryland. There are additional locations in Hanover, Pennsylvania and in Virginia’s King George County. To learn more about Lakeside Title, click here
